Autumn Makeup Routine

In Autumn it's all about the dark lips and golden eyes but I usually feel like I can't pull that off so I have gone for a more toned down look this Autumn but I am still very much in love with it! I feel like you can do a lot with this look and I hope you get some inspiration from my makeup routine.

Baby Skin Primer - Maybelline
I love this primer and have been using it a lot recently to guarantee my makeup will stay on all day, it makes my pores a lot less visible and it makes my skin feel so soft! I don't think primer is necessary to wear but if you are looking for a primer this one is amazing.

True Match Foundation - L'Oreal
It has taken me a while to try using foundation as I always thought it would feel to heavy on my face and I wouldn't like it but over the summer I tried a foundation and really liked it so I decided to get another which was the L'Oreal True Match because I had heard so much about it and I wanted to give it a try. This foundation is amazing it is so easy to blend and I can barely feel it on my skin also it gives a good coverage without needing to use a lot. Overall this foundation is a definite must have for anyone who doesn't want a heavy foundation.

Wake Me Up Concealer - Rimmel
This concealer has been my all time favourite for a few months now, I can't fail it, it covers any blemishes and dark circles I have so easily and lasts all day.

Bronzer And Highlighter - Estee Lauder
As you can see by the picture I use this product a lot and have hit the bottom, I usually use the middle shade and the last shade to contour and the first two shades to highlight. They are such lovely shades and are a perfect suit to my skin.

Dallas Blush - Benefit
I like to use this preferably in the Autumn and Winter months because it is a dusty pink/red colour and I find it perfect for this time of the year because it gives your cheeks a dark flushed colour which looks amazing with dark lips.

Naked 3 Palette - Urban Decay
In this palette I use the colour 'Darkside' to fill in my eyebrows because I find it is the perfect colour to match my eyebrows and I haven't found anything else that matches just as well as this.

Transparent Brow Drama - Maybelline
This is a recent discovery for me and I now use this every day, I don't know what I did without it! Just by using a little bit it keeps my eyebrows in shape all day and it is so easy to apply thanks to Maybellines mascara type brush.

Lash Sensational Mascara - Maybelline
I am sure any of you who are reading this have heard of or have this mascara, it is perfect, it lengthens and thickens your eyelashes so easily and honestly in my opinion is the best drugstore mascara there is.

Twig Satin Lipstick - Mac
I haven't really got a true dark lipstick for Autumn although I am desperate to get one but for now I have been using this lipstick which is almost there. It is a dark pink/red and finishes almost matte, I find if I put it on quite generously it creates a gorgeous dark burgundy shade. I definitely recommend this lipstick for anyone who wants a lipstick that's not to dark but can pass off as an Autumn shade.

I hope you enjoyed this post, I just wanted to say that over the past three weeks I feel like I have slightly neglected my blog, I have let the quality of my posts and pictures slip and it's been really getting to me. So this week I started using a new camera to get me more motivated to take pictures for posts and write the posts in preparation and I think I can say it worked! I feel very pleased with this post and hopefully you will be getting better quality posts from now on.

What is your favourite makeup product this Autumn?

Autumn Nails

Its finally Autumn! Time to bring out all shades of red, purple, grey and more, in Autumn I tend to turn to darker nail polishes and more neutral nail polishes, I haven't collected as many Autumn coloured nail polishes this year which is why my collection for this post is a bit scarce but the ones I have I use all the time. This is also a collab with the lovely Hannah from Hannah Rose so make sure to check out her version of this post.

Barry M Nail Paint - Matt White
This isn't really a typical Autumn colour but I actually love to wear a white colour during Autumn and Halloween because I feel like it goes with anything I am wearing and looks amazing at the same time!

Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint - Chilli
I actually bought this nail polish last year from Barry M's Autumn range and I am still loving it! This really is the perfect shade for Autumn being a dark red it looks so nice, I also recommend this Barry M colour for its quality, it has such a strong colour and it lasts for ages.

Barry M Textured Nail Effect - Duchess
The picture really doesn't do this colour justice at all, I love this colour because it is like a rose gold/light brown colour which is beautiful and it also has a sparkle/textured effect to it which makes your nails just that bit more interesting, overall this is just a lovely nail polish.

So that's all my favourite Autumn nail polishes, I am sorry for the delay on this post, a lot of things came up and I ended up forgetting to post. I am also sorry about the picture quality, my camera has broke so I haven't been able to use it (crying face) so for the picture I used my phone which hasn't got the greatest camera. Another thing is I recently hit 6000 views!! That's so crazy, so thank you to everyone of you who have read my blog posts or even just had a look, it honestly means the world to see all the comments you leave me and see more people looking at my blog!

Cyprus | Travel Diaries

Traveling and seeing the world is something I love to do, it is something my parents have made sure I have experienced since the very start of my life for this I am extremely grateful to them. One thing I love about going on holiday is capturing the amazing photographic moments that happen so that you can keep that memory forever. This summer I went to Cyprus, I had been there a couple of times before in the past but we decided to go again because of how beautiful and lovely the island is.

We stayed in a beautiful little villa just about 20 minutes away from Paphos (the nearest town) we didn't do an awful lot in the way of activities in the first week of our stay but we visited one of our favourite beaches/cove, which was really close to where we were staying. At the very start of the second week we hired a speed boat from a company in Polis and spent the day driving from cove to cove having a look around and a swim, one particular place we stayed at the most was the Blue Lagoon which was a beautiful cove with crystal clear water, generally just a lovely place to stop and swim for a bit. The only negative about that day was that we chose the day that Cyprus had a heat wave and temperatures reached around 42°C which was boiling even for Cyprus! We also decided that week to hire quad bikes (What an adventurous week that turned out to be!) and we took them out for the day driving them through off-road tracks along the coast, which I have to say was the best thing we did all holiday.

During the third week we went to a zoo, and hired the quad bikes again for another day, this time exploring through a deserted and derelict village, eating lunch right by the side of a dam and just getting completely lost along random routes. In means of food we went out occasionally to different restaurants in our general area for dinner. I love trying local and unique food while on holiday and dining in restaurants along the harbour and sea front.

For the other days in the holiday they were spent relaxing by the pool, messing around in the pool and exploring other parts of the area nearby. These were three weeks I will never forget, I can happily say that I did not want to go back to school after this!

'We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventures we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open.'

Natural Eye Makeup Look

I have been using this natural eye makeup look a lot recently especially as Autumn is now upon us, bolder eye shadows and bolder lips appear everywhere. This is a collab with Katie from Blossom and Daisy she has done her version of this post so be sure to have a look at her lovely blog.

Base
On the base of my lid I have been using a creaseless cream eye shadow in bikini-tini from Benefits Sexiest Nudes Ever eye shadow kit, I just apply it all over my eye lid. It is a lovely oyster pink shade and is a perfect eye shadow on its own and as a base. This eye shadow kit is quite expensive so if you were to recreate this look any champagne/ pink colour would do (I have heard that Mac Paint Pots are really good).

Lid
I next put a medium brown shade from the Collection Eyes Undercover in Brown sugar (fifth shade in the second picture) all over my lid, this shade is so nice because its a matte shade and its so pigmented. On the whole the Collection eye palettes are such good quality for a cheap price.

Crease
This is probably my favourite part of this look because it adds some definition to my eyes and I use the colour Mugshot from the Naked 3 palette by Urban Decay (third shade from the right in the first picture), it is a beautiful brown/ash colour with a slight shine to it. I do this by getting a little on my eye shadow brush and starting in the crease near the outer edge of my eye and going in.

Then of course I blend the whole thing together! I am sorry this was a short post but I have recently been working on some bigger posts to show to you all and I can't wait for you all to see them.

What is your go to eye shadow palette/shade?

Drugstore Makeup Starter Kit

I am sorry for not posting last week, it was because I got swamped with homework and I really needed to get it all done and I wanted a post I had taken time on and not rushed to give to you. This post is a collab with Hannah from Hannah Rose her blog is beautiful so make sure to check out her version of this post.

Garnier BB Cream
I have been using this BB cream for god knows how long and I think its perfect for anyone starting out on makeup because its got a very light coverage and its also very moisturising. If you want something with a bit more coverage I really recommend the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer
This concealer is honestly in my opinion the best drugstore concealer because its not cakey, it really brightens up any dark circles and conceals so well also it lasts all day.

Revolution Blush Palette - Golden Sugar
I have used this palette a lot recently because not only has it got blushes in it it also has 3 contour shades and a highlighter, they are all lovely shades and so pigmented.

Sleek Blush - Rose Gold
I got this blush a little while back because of all the good things I heard about it, at first I didn't really like this blush but as I wore it more often I fell in love with it. It is quite a bright pink/rose colour but when on it is just a lovely subtle glow of pink and it really looks lovely. Also because it has  a little bit of shimmer in it it creates an almost highlight at the same time.

Maybelline Brow Drama
This is a very recent purchase for me and I love it this is perfect for anyone starting out on makeup because it shapes your eyebrows so well but in a really natural way.

Collection Eyes Uncovered Palette
I have 2 of these palettes and the colours are beautiful and so pigmented, if you are starting out on makeup these pallets are really good because they are lovely nude colours.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara
This mascara has to be the best mascara for lengthening and thickening lashes, it is very like the Benefit Roller Lash but at a fraction of the price. If you don't want a mascara as bold as this the Rimmel Wonder'full mascara is a favourite of mine as well.

L'Oreal Colour Riche Lipstick - 302
This was the first lipstick I ever bought and I wear it constantly, the colour 302 is a beautiful nude shade that is perfect for if your starting out on makeup because it's not a bold colour at all.

This is a makeup routine I use a lot for school/everyday and I keep finding that drugstore makeup is getting better and better in its quality. I hope you found this helpful if you want to get into makeup now or any time in the future :)
