Summer Makeup Look

Summer has come and I am off for 6 whole weeks which gives me time to hopefully give you some decent blog posts. I wanted to show you the makeup look I like to use in the summer because I tend to change to blushes and light makeup, just generally change my look around a bit.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation
This foundation is perfect for summer it is light-weight and so easy to blend. It also leaves you with a lovely dewy look. If you don't like foundations I reccomend the Garnier BB cream which I love and works pretty much the same as the Bourjois foundation just it doesnt give as much coverage.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer
I think this concealer is my favourite concealer I have ever tried, it is great for summer as it isn't cakey and it is really easy to blend. It covers any blemishes and brightens up the dark circles under my eyes, sometimes I find I can just put this on when I am having a good skin day.

Benefit Sugarbomb Blush
I cannot explain how much I love this blush, it is a mixture of four different shades of blushes and when mixed together create a lovely light summery blush.  Although this is very expensive it is so worth it if you're looking for a quality blush that will look great all summer long.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo
I have had this for ages and is a firm favourite of mine, this one is in the colour 'Pink Gold' which is a beautiful light shimmery pink shade which is perfect for the summer. It is also such a simple eye-shadow which makes you look like you have put some effort in (because if your like me I never have time for eye-shadow).

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara
It was only recently I got this after being recommended it by a friend and I can honestly say it works absolute wonders on my eyelashes. It lengthens them so easily and makes them bolder and thicker without making them clump together.

Benefit Bene Balm
This rose-tinted balm is something I wear every day I love it so much it, you can get it in four different colours all of which are beautiful and I am aiming to collect all of them. This balm is also brilliant because it is very moisturising.

I definitely think this is a lovely makeup look for summer because it could be made very light or just a little bit bolder. I am currently obsessed with Benefit products at the moment and use them all the time.

What makeup product would you recommend for summer?

My Braces Experience

First of all I would like to apologise for the lack of posts for 2 weeks this was because I decided to take a break from blogging to catch up with my homework and revision. During those two weeks I got my braces off after a year of wearing them!! I thought I would do this post as I know that many people have to get braces at one point and I want to be able to help prepare any of you who are getting braces soon, I am going to be writing about what happened/my experience in getting braces. I have put the before and after I got my braces off above.

Before I got them on I had been advised to take pain killers about 1 hour before I went and got my braces put on, this might have been the best advice ever because for about 3 hours after I got them on I had no aches or pain. But as it started wearing off it felt like my whole face was aching it wasn't painful it just was like a dull ache. Eating was hard for the first few days as my teeth hurt when any pressure was put on them but to get round that all you have to is eat soft foods and foods you don't have to chew. After a week/two weeks you should feel back to normal again.

I went back every so often to get my braces tightened to sort out my overbite and each time the ache came back but only lasted for a day. Around January/February time I got given little elastic bands (they look a little like loom bands) that connected from the front to the back of my braces. If you get these elastic bands it is really important that you wear them when you are told to because if you never wear it your teeth aren't going to change and you will just have to wear braces for longer.

Braces aren't the worst things ever and I think I have got lucky on my experience with getting them. If you are getting braces soon, it may seem like a long and tedious thing but trust me in the end all of it will be so worth it.

If you have braces what is the best advice you would give to someone just getting braces?
