Bloggers Gift Swap

Merry Christmas Eve Eve!! Only 1 more day until Christmas can you believe it? Last Weekend me and my friend Hannah (make sure to have a look at her gorgeous blog!) gave each other a bundle of presents for Christmas and we have decided to do a joint post on what we gave each other (also can we just appreciate how cute the packaging and the jar is that Hannah gave me?!).

Soap & Glory Daily Smooth Body Butter
The first thing Hannah got me was a Soap & Glory body butter, I love this so much it smells amazing and I am definitely going to be using both this and the shower gel tomorrow night as a little Christmas pamper night.

Soap & Glory Clean On Me Shower Gel
Again you cannot really go wrong with Soap & Glory and this is a personal favourite of mine as it smells gorgeous, I am very thankful to Hannah for putting this in!

Ted Baker Body Spray
Now I have this I use it everyday, it is such a lovely fragrance and I actually nearly bought Hannah the other version of this body spray. I am dreading the day this runs out!

Barry M Quick Dry Nail Polish - Pomegranate
This again is another new favourite of mine it is such a lovely deep red/purple and I think it is a perfect colour for Christmas.

Bath & Body Works Hand Sanitizer - Warm Vanilla Sugar
I had wanted one of these for ages purely because they sound amazing and I was so happy to see this, the scent smells exactly how it is described and I am now obsessed and can't wait to get more!

Mac Matte Lipstick - Velvet Teddy
I couldn't really believe my eyes when I saw this, I have been wanting to get Velvet Teddy for ages and I love it! It is a brown/pink nude shade which looks amazing and I also like it because its matte and I tend to prefer matte lipsticks.

Thank you so much Hannah for all of this, I also hope you liked my present to! Another thing I forgot to put in was that she also gave me a packet of chocolate Snow Bites which are one of my favourite chocolates but unfortunately I couldn't take a picture of it because I ate them all in one night. Also as this is my last post before Christmas I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas. Merry Christmas!!!

My Top 3 Festive Lipsticks

I feel like it is finally the time of year to bring out those red and dark pink shades. I find red lipsticks are so easy to wear and can be casual for the day or spice up a look for a night out. I have a reasonably small collection of lipsticks but I have chosen my three favourites to wear at this time of year to share with you.

Mac Satin Lipstick - Twig
This lipstick was the first ever lipstick from Mac I bought, I find myself wearing this all year round but it is especially nice this time of year. It is a lovely dark pink/red shade, this shade is also perfect for anyone that wants a dark lipstick but isn't confident to wear a red or a really dark shade.

Clinique Lipstick - Cherry Pop
I got this with the Glamour magazine very recently and it is such an amazing lipstick! It is a very bright red shade that I think is perfect for Christmas.

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick - 107
I got this lipstick after hearing lots of good things about it and I love it, for a drugstore lipstick it is great quality and the colour is a lovely deep red shade, I will be definitely be wearing this on Christmas Day!

So those are my top three favourite festive lipsticks, I have just finished wrapping all the presents for Christmas and now I can't wait. Only 5 more days!!

What is your go-to festive lipstick?

A New Obsession | 2 Perfect Travel Accessories

Very recently I found out I had won a competition hosted by Zoella and Penguin Books, I am still in shock that I won, all of the prizes I won were travel related and two of them I love so much and think they are perfect for going traveling with. These are the Mint Urbaneers Headphones and the FjallRaven Kanken Backpack.

The Headphones I particularly love because of the colour and the fact they are foldable so are easy to stash away in a bag to take. Also they can adjust to your head size, one thing I especially like about these is that on both ear pieces there are connections so that you and your friend or family member want to watch/listen to the same thing one person can listen through the headphones and another can plug their headphones or earphones in the other side so you can listen at the same time.

At first I didn't think I would like the backpack just from looking at the picture but when it came I fell in love with it. It is so perfect for traveling with a massive space to put all your stuff, it is also quite a sturdy material so won't get ruined or damaged easily. The colour is another thing I love as it is a beautiful blush pink colour and they also sell it in other colours.

I think these would be great for taking on holiday and I know I will definitely be using these my self on my next holiday/trip. Also can you believe it is only  8 days until Christmas!! December has gone so fast!

What is your go to travel accessory?

'Tis The Season To Be Jolly

Can you believe it is less then two weeks until Christmas?! Our decorations are all up and the tree is twinkling as I write this. All of this week I have been taking photos of all the festive things up and around my house to show you. I have especially been loving my tree in my bedroom this year which I have decorated in gold and pink with the cutest wooden star on top. I have gathered a selection of photos (above) to show you what I have put up to look and feel more festive at home and maybe to give you some ideas as well. I am also going to just tell you a few things I like to do before Christmas.

One of my favourite things to do around/before Christmas is ice skating, its such a lovely thing to do with a group of friends, I have always wanted to go to the outdoor ice skating in London as it looks so beautiful! Another easy thing to do is Secret Santa, you could do this with a group of friends or family members, either or it is a nice thing to get excited for in the lead up to Christmas.

I have also decided that because I didn't do Blogmas this year (I will definitely be doing it next year!) for the last two weeks before Christmas I will be posting every Saturday and Wednesday so make sure to look out for those posts!

What do you like to do in the run up to Christmas?

My Christmas Playlist

For the past few days now I have been humming along to Christmas tunes on the radio and hearing them being played around the house. Recently I created a playlist on Spotify that includes all of my favourite Christmas songs in one place so that whenever I feel in the festive mood I have it on hand. While I was putting up my Christmas tree in my bedroom I had this playlist on shuffle and it lifted my mood and made me even more excited for Christmas!

If you would like to have a look at my playlist or listen to it my username is Ellarosey.

Christmas Gift Ideas | For Her

Lets just start off with the fact that it is only 26 days until Christmas!! Can you believe it? This year has seemed to have gone so fast! And because Christmas is fastly approaching I have collected some gifts that I think would be perfect for an easy but lovely Christmas present to get for any family members.

1. Zoella Bath Bombinis - £9.00
I have to say I could have put most of Zoella's new Christmas range on here but I chose this one because of the cute packaging as not only would you be giving someone some lovely bath fizzers but they would also be getting them in a jar which they could use again.

2. Benefit Pucker Up & Party - £19.50
Benefit have brought out quite a few gift sets this year but I particularly like this one because you get 4 full size products for only £19.50. I also think its a great simple present to give.

3. Charlotte Tilbury Mini Lipstick Charms - £29.00
I found these recently and I loved how adorable these are and also I like the fact you could give someone this which includes three different lipsticks for them to use and try out.

4. Too Faced Nude Lipstick Gift Set - £12.00
Finding this product was by pure chance and I have to say it is now on my Christmas list! I think it is a perfect gift for makeup lovers, you get a Too Faced lipstick and blush together for only £12.00 which I thought was an amazing deal.

5. Lush Christmas Bath Time Favourites - £39.95
This year Lush has come out with some lovely products and I love their gift box's, this particular gift box is on the more expensive side but you get 10 different bath bombs in this which is a great present to someone if they like this kind of thing.

6. Lush Snow Time - £29.95
Again this gift box is amazing and includes 6 of Lush's most popular products, I love the fact that this box includes a variety of items varying from bath bombs to shower jelly's.

7. Soap & Glory Dive In - £18.00
You can't really go wrong with a bit of Soap & Glory for a Christmas present and this set I loved as it comes with 6 different Soap & Glory products and a online exclusive bag so if you can catch this gift set I think it would be a lovely gift.

8. Zoella Mini Fizz Bar Trio - £7.00
I thought this would be a great stocking filler or present for any age as the price is reasonably cheap and you get three amazing bath fizzers. (Also the packaging is adorable!)

I hope you get some ideas from this post personally I would love to receive any of these gifts! I am already so excited for Christmas and I can't wait to get the Christmas tree and decorations up.

What are you wishing for Christmas this year?

Beading Buttercup Jewellery Company

Late in September I found out about Beading Buttercup, a small handmade jewellery business that sell lovely unique rings, necklaces and bracelets, they contacted me and asked to show their products and tell of you a few things about the business.

What I would style the Dream Catcher Necklace with:
The Dream Catcher necklace is my favourite piece of jewellery in the collection (pictures at the top of the post) because it could be styled with almost anything. But if I were to wear it with a certain thing I would wear it with my grey roll neck, long sleeved top, my black topshop jeans and my long grey coat.

We also did a Q&A to give you some more information on Beading Buttercup and the background behind the company;

1.What inspired you to start your business?
Well i went to a jewellery making workshop with my sister where I made a really simple bracelet and it just all escalated from there... I realised that making jewellery was something which I loved and so I began spending more time designing items until I decided to set up my shop. Since then the jewellery I make has changed a lot, as my business has grown I've started finding a little niche in the market but my jewellery is still evolving now to try to find the perfect niche for me.

2. What is your favourite piece of jewellery from your collection?
Oooh that's a difficult one, I'm not sure but I do love the unicorn horn necklaces. I really enjoy hand making them out of clay, painting and adding glitter to the charms- it's a long but really fun process. The unicorn horn necklaces are one of my best selling items which is really rewarding, when they take me so long to make to see them selling is really motivating.

I also have lots of new products which I'm planning on releasing in the run up to Christmas, including some metal stamping items and lots of beaded designs! I absolutely love the new collection so I'm sure that soon some of them will become my new favourite products.

3. How do you come up with designs for your necklaces, bracelets etc?
My jewellery designs are usually accessories that I want, I make most of my designs based on items of jewellery that I would like and so I design the item I'm imagining, order the supplies and then make the items and list them on my website if I think that other people will like them too!

4. How did you come up with the name of your company?
I spent a long time debating over what to call my business; it was a really tough decision. I wanted a quirky name, something no one else had but I also wanted the name of my company to reflect what I sell and so I thought Beading Buttercup fitted perfectly.

5. If you had to choose one necklace and one bracelet from your collection to wear forever which ones would you choose?
I would probably wear my dream catcher necklace which I love because it's so versatile and I love the mix of natural crystals and metal charms. And I'd team it up with one of my crystal leather bracelets, which I really like because of the combination of natural.

Autumn Style | Cosy Jumper & Dark Lips

Jumper // Newlook
Jeans // Topshop
Jacket // Newlook
Boots // Newlook
Ring // Pandora
Lipstick // Rimmel Kate Moss 107

Last Thursday me and my friend Hannah (Make sure to have a look at her amazing blog!) took photos in our favourite Autumn fashion looks. This is also a collab with Hannah so make sure to take a look at her version of this post!

Autumn is definitely my favourite time of the year partly for the reason big warm jumpers and dark lips are in fashion. I love this outfit because it feels autumnal, from the high neck jumper to the long grey coat and boots, the jumper especially is a big love of mine because of the high neck which gives the outfit a different look. Another thing that took me by surprise was the coat I am wearing from Newlook which I never thought I would like but it turns out I love it because it's something different and smartens up/brings together any outfit I am wearing.

The BEST Marshmallow Brownies

The other day I made some of these delicious marshmallow brownies with my friend Hannah (make sure to have a look at her amazing blog) and for once our baking payed off, they actually tasted amazing! We found this recipe here on the BBC page, they are reasonably simple to make and are great to share around for Bonfire night or Christmas (and yes I am mentioning Christmas already).

Ingredients
- 240g (8oz) butter
-150g (5oz) dark chocolate
- 60g (2oz) cocoa
-150g (50z) plain flour
-500g (2oz) caster sugar
- 5 eggs, beaten
-150g (5oz) marshmallows, chopped

You will also need a baking tray or baking tins like we used to make individual brownies.

Instructions
1. Heat the oven to 190C/375F/Gas 5.
2. Line your baking tray or tins with baking paper.
3. Break up the chocolate into pieces and melt with the butter. (We did this in a bowl over a saucepan
that had boiling water in)
4. Mix the cocoa, flour and sugar together then off the heat add it to the melted chocolate and butter mixture.
5. Then mix in the eggs and fold in the marshmallows into the mixture.
6. Spoon the mixture into the tin/s to roughly about halfway and bake in the oven for 20 minutes until
the surface has set.
7. Allow to cool before eating.

I hope you can use this to make some of these brownies in the future, as you may or may not have seen I have completely changed the look of my blog, I am going to keep it up for now and see how I like it or if I will change it back to my old template. If you could please leave your opinions about the new look it would be much appreciated.
