Fashion Favourites

Before I get started, this is a collab (my first ever collab!) with Tara from Tara's Floral World so check out her version of this post and her amazing blog! This summer I picked up a far few bits of clothing that I have loved and constantly wore on holiday and as I haven't posted much about fashion on my blog I thought it was about time I got around to it. (Sorry I didn't have time to put together an outfit so I just picked some of my favourite clothing).

Grey Cold Shoulder Top
This was actually a very recent purchase and before I had got this I had always said that open shoulder tops didn't suit me but surprisingly I actually love this top and it goes with anything. Its also very comfy which is the most important thing ;)

Black Tile Playsuit
I can't even explain how much I loved this playsuit, it has a high neck so it stands out a little from other playsuits and also the pattern on it is gorgeous. The only bad thing about it is getting it on and off is extremely hard so once I was in it I stayed in it.

Black High Waist Jeans
I had wanted these for ages because I already had black jeans but I found that a lot of tops I had would only go with high waisted jeans. So I went in to Topshop and came out with some black high waisted Jamie jeans, they are perfect for the upcoming winter and they are so comfy. If you are looking for some new jeans although Topshop jeans are expensive they are so worth it for the quality you get.

Grey Roll Neck Top
Funnily enough I have had this for awhile but as it's been hot I haven't been able to wear it. But I think roll neck tops are perfect for winter because they will keep you warm but at the same time look really nice. I can't wait to wear this more often.

Striped Floral Top
I got this recently along with the black jeans from Topshop and it's just a striped top with white flowers around the edges. I really like this because its different from what I would usually wear, it's really comfy and goes with almost everything, if you wanted it would look great with a skater skirt as well. (I couldn't find this top on the Topshop website so the top in the link above is only similar to what I have)

Plain Long Grey Top
I love this top, it's just a plain grey top with rolled up sleeves but it's so easy to put on when you just want to wear something simple and it still looks nice. This top is also available in different colours so I will definitely be going to get another one soon.

I think nowadays there is such a good range of clothing available for younger people. I can't wait to start looking out for big cosy jumpers ready for winter and autumn.

What is your fashion favourite at the moment?

A New Obsession | Copper

Recently copper has become extremely popular in home decor and there are some beautiful pieces out there, I have definitely hopped onto the copper train because I am now constantly on the look out for anything copper!

I recently went on holiday to Cyprus where we found a shopping mall, in there was a beautiful little shop with all sorts of bits and bobs (it reminded me a little of Ikea but a much smaller version!) in there I found a lovely simple copper lantern. It was just one little thing but after that suddenly the top of my drawers needed more copper!

That's when two weeks after I popped into Dunelm and they had a whole section, I repeat a WHOLE section dedicated to copper home decor, I can definitely say I was in my happy place at that moment. I picked up a really cute copper jar that day (in the picture above) which now contains my makeup brushes.

I honestly think any copper decor is a lovely and decorative way to brighten up your room with something different, if you are looking for something like that I fully recommend Dunelm because there range is beautiful.

What is your current obsession?

How To | Social Media Icons

Social media icons were something I really wanted on my blog but when it came round to putting them on I struggled to make any sense of some of the tutorials on the Internet. After searching through a lot I found an extremely easy way round it and amazingly it worked (as you can see on the right side of my blog). As many people on Instagram were asking me how to do it I thought it was a good time to do a blog post on it.

1. Getting Your Social Media Icons
It took me a while to find the perfect social media icons that suited my blog but I eventually found an amazing blog called 'Every Little Polish' and the owner had made a file of watercolour icons (all made by her) of all different colours and social media websites for anyone to download and use. If you want the same design icons as me go to this link and just download the file at the bottom of the post. If you don't want the same ones just type in social media icons into Google and download/save the ones you want.

2. Getting The Icons The Right Size
As you may find the icons are a bit big so I used paint to resize it. To change the size open one of the icons into paint and on the bar at the top near the left there is a button that says 'Resize' click that, then once a box appears at the top of the box you can select either 'Percentage' or 'Pixels' you need to select pixels. Then to change the size you need to change the horizontal and vertical sizes, if you want the icons to be the same size as mine are change both sizes to 45 and save them.

3. Getting Them Together And Linking them
Next you need to open a new post on blogger and insert all the icons you want to put on your blog and move them into order (side by side). To link them to your social media you need to get the URL's from your Instagram, Twitter, Bloglovin etc. Do this by signing into your accounts online. Then click on each icon individually, press link (you may have to press twice) and paste the URL into the box. Once you have done that for each individual icons move onto the next step.

4. HTML
The good thing about the way you do this is that you do not have to understand or put in any HTML whatsoever, so next in the top left corner on the bar there is a button which says Compose and HTML it should be on compose so you need to click HTML. Then you need to copy (ctrl + c) EVERYTHING that comes up.

5. Putting Them On Your Blog
Now once you have copied all of the HTML head over to Layout on your blog and add the HTML gadget wherever you want your icons to go. Open up the HTML gadget and paste the HTML you copied into the box and save it, you can put a title on it if you want that.

And that's it! It seems confusing but once you get your head around it, it becomes easy. I mentioned copying and pasting a lot so if you don't know how to do that you just highlight all the text you want then press ctrl + c to copy and ctrl + v to paste. Another thing with the size is if you want it to be smaller or bigger just play around with the pixel size until you like it. I hope this helps any of you who want to do this, if you want any help or do not understand something you can either comment down below or contact me using Instagram or Twitter which is linked on the right side of my blog (my name is @sprinklesofella for both) and I will be more than happy to help you.

July Favourites

Its the end of July and school has ended! There has been so many things I have been loving this month and I have chosen some of my favourites too share with you.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara
I recently got this mascara due to all the hype about it and I had to put it in my favourites, it is amazing, it lengthens and thickens your lashes without clumping them. The wand on the mascara is incredible and is slightly rounded so it makes it easy to do your bottom lashes without getting mascara absolutely everywhere.

Benefit Sugar Bomb Blush
The other week I got my first ever Benefit product, it was the Sugar Bomb blush, a mixture of four shades of blushes which look great mixed together or on their own. I couldn't fault it if I tried, I use this every day and it is a beautiful summer shade.

Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Bronzer
I have had this for a while and it is an amazing bronzer for summer, it is so pigmented and is perfect for summer. I also love the fact that it is a large compact with a mirror so it makes it easy for applying on the go.

Ella Frends Earphones
I got these for Christmas but they are so pretty and as its summer and nearly everyone is going on holiday I thought I would mention these as they are perfect for having in your carry-on bag to use on the plane. They also come with a small zip up pouch to keep them safe and compact.

Aussie Shampoo
This has to be my favourite shampoo it smells so nice and it makes my hair so soft and shiny. It is also focused on repairing damaged hair so it is perfect during the summer as the sun tends to damage and dry the ends of your hair.

Lush Mask Of Magnaminty
This is the best face mask I have ever tried, I got it for my birthday along with a few other bits from Lush. It is such a lovely mint scent, the scent reminds me a bit of mint chocolate ice cream, it has little bits in it which I really like in a face mask. It makes my face feel so smooth and soft afterwards, I definitely recommend this if your looking for a good face mask.

Rose Gold Aviator Sunglasses
I got these from Primark about a month ago for my holiday, I love them so much they go with everything and for £2 they were a complete bargain! You can't really go wrong with anything rose gold ;)

I would have liked to include some clothes for summer in this but I will be doing a post with them in soon so you will see them soon. I hope you are all having a good summer holiday so far!

What is one of your favourites this month?
