May Spring Day

Denim Jacket // Primark
Floral Top // Newlook
Jeans // Newlook
Shoes // Converse, Schuh

It finally feels like spring where I live and at the weekend me, my brother and my cousins went for a walk. I took some pictures of my outfit and the fields on the way with my phone (sorry for the bad quality) because I really liked my outfit and it was a lovely spring day.

Most Loved BB Creams

I have to say I am a bit of a sucker for BB creams, I love the way they feel and look on my face. I have tried a fair amount of BB creams all of them claiming to do different things, but I have chosen three BB creams out of my stash that I love the most.

Rimmel London 9 in 1 BB Cream // £6.99
This is actually my second tube of this BB cream as I loved it so much I ran out of it. It has a good coverage and blends easily but it is probably better for drier skin as the consistency is quite sticky. I am really annoyed because the second time I bought it I got a darker shade accidentally so now I would probably only wear this when I have a tan.

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream // £9.99
This has been my most recent purchase and I have been wearing it non-stop. I love the consistency, the coverage is excellent and it feels incredibly moisturising and light on your skin. Another brilliant thing is that you can get it for different skin types, mine is for oily to combination skin and the consistency is quite runny, perfect for my skin.

The Body Shop All In One BB Cream // £12.00
Although this BB cream is reasonably expensive it really does the trick. It has a light to medium coverage and feels lovely and moisturising on my skin. The only problem I have with this is that it is very runny and hard to blend.

I recommend all of these BB creams for people that don't like the heaviness of foundations and who are just starting wearing makeup. My favourite at the moment is the Garnier BB cream and I have literally been wearing it every day. I am soon going to try my first ever foundation so leave a comment below telling me any good foundations you recommend.

Tanya Burr | Triple Chocolate Cookies

Firstly I want to introduce you to what I am doing every Tuesday, I am going to be showing you a different recipe each Tuesday that I have made and loved. This week I am going to show you how to make some mouth-watering triple chocolate cookies! This recipe is from the Tanya Burr book and me and my friend Hannah (check out her amazing blog) attempted to make them on Saturday and the result was lovely!

To make 10 cookies you will need:
200g butter
300g caster sugar
1 large egg
275g self-raising flour
75g cocoa powder
A little bit of milk (optional)
A large bar of milk chocolate (Cadburys is what we used)
A large bar of white chocolate
A large bar of dark chocolate

Method:

Pre-heat your oven on to 200 degrees Celsius.
Cream together your butter and sugar until it is smooth.
Crack in the egg into your mixture.
Blend all of your ingredients together.
Add a little bit of milk if your mixture is looking to dry.
Break up all of your chocolate and put it into the mixture, using your hands to mix it into the dough
Line 2 trays with baking paper (add another baking tray if you feel the need to)
Pick up about 10 small handfuls of cookie dough and place them onto your trays (the cookies will spread a lot in the oven so don't put them to close together)
Put them in the oven for 11 minutes. When you get them out they will not look cooked but as they cool they will become harder - if you do leave them in the oven for to long once they have cooled they will be very hard.
Leave them to cool for roughly 30 minutes.
Now sit down and enjoy a delicious cookie!

These cookies taste absolutely amazing, I am definitely going to make more of these in the future. They are perfect for a birthday or treat for someone and they don't take much to make. If you need to you could easily make these gluten free by swapping the flour to gluten free flour.

What are your favourite things to bake?

Drugstore Makeup | Haul

Recently I have splashed out on a few makeup products for spring and I am in love with them! So I thought I would do my first ever haul post, I use these products regularly in my makeup routine.

Rimmel Natural Bronzer
This was a quick buy item for me I picked it up just as I was about to go because it caught my eye. I use this bronzer everyday it is very pigmented and gives you a lovely colour. The only problem I have with it is that it is has a more orange tint then brown but once you blend it in it looks great.

L'Oreal Colour Riche Lipstick in 302
I can't express my love for this enough, I literally wear this everyday and I am desperate to get another one. It is a lovely nude/dark pink colour, it is so moisturising and doesn't even feel like its there.

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 08
This is another favourite but it is a little lighter and thicker then the other one. This gives a very rich colour and is a beautiful spring shade.

Maybelline Colour Tattoos In 'On and On Bronze' and 'Pink Gold'
I think everyone that wears makeup must have heard or have got one or more of these and I mean who can blame them, these are the perfect cream eye shadows. They are so long lasting and the colours are beautiful.

Garnier BB Cream
I was looking for a new BB cream so I had a look at what was a good one to get and this one popped up everywhere so I went and got it. This BB cream is the best I have ever had, it has good coverage but is also extremely moisturising, I will be doing a full review on this soon.

Overall all of these products have been very good to me so far so I definitely recommend any of these if you are looking for some new makeup, I have bought some other non-beauty related things recently so I might do another haul soon because I really enjoyed writing this one. Also starting this Tuesday I will be posting a food recipe every Tuesday so look out for that! One last thing is that if you haven't noticed I have some social media icons at the top right of my blog and have recently added twitter (the ones already on there are; Instagram, Google + and Bloglovin) so if you want to follow me on twitter you can click that or my name is @sprinklesofella.

What's your most favourite recent beauty purchase?

My Skin Care Routine

I recently went out and bought some skin care products to use after I realised I wasn't taking any care of my skin at all and most of the time wasn't even cleaning my makeup off properly (I know, shame on me!). I went straight to the Garnier section in boots because Garnier is an all time favourite of mine and their products never fail to do me good.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water / £4.99
I like to use this first, I put a reasonable amount on a cotton pad and rub it around my face. This is brilliant because it takes off my makeup so thoroughly and quickly. Two added bonuses for me are: It is for sensitive skin and it has no perfume to it.

Garnier Fresh Refining Toner / £3.99
This took me a while to get as I wasn't sure whether or not it was something I would use but so far I have found this brilliant, after I have used this my face definitely feels a bit more refreshed and my pores are becoming less noticeable.

Garnier Moisture + Matte Moisturiser / £3.99
I love, love, love this moisturiser! I just put it all other my face and it definitely gives my skin a boost and also making it less oily. This also smells so good :)

I do this every night and it has improved my skin a lot, especially a lot of red blemishes that were in awkward patches on my cheeks and nose. I am sorry that there wasn't a picture of the moisturiser out of the box but when I was taking the pictures I obviously wasn't thinking much! Also I don't know if you have realised but I started only posting on a Saturday but I am hopefully starting to post every Tuesday, I will be posting baking recipes that I have made, so look forward to that!
